Is a Philippine Company Registration Agent Trustworthy? Five Checks

The five-step method

1. Verify the entity — get the full company name and SEC registration number, look it up yourself, see how to search the SEC registry.
2. Verify the address — can you visit in person.
3. Verify the paperwork — an official receipt in the company name, contract, receipt and bank account all matching.
4. Verify the boundary — which steps the agent handles, which need you in person, written into the contract.
5. Verify any accreditation number you can check.

Stop if you hear these

Three hard red flags: "one flat price covers everything," "100% guaranteed approval," or a request to wire money to a personal account. Registration spans the SEC, BIR and the LGU; no agent can promise an outcome any of those agencies control.
